Hit 10,000 haircuts last week and it hit me different than I expected
I've been doing hair for about 12 years now (started right out of cosmetology school in 2012). Last Thursday I was just doing my thing, buzz cut for a regular, and my client happened to ask how many haircuts I thought I'd done. So I did the rough math - average 15-20 cuts a week, 50 weeks a year, minus time off. Came out to just over 10,000. That number honestly stopped me in my tracks for a second. Not because it's impressive or anything, just kinda wild to think that many people sat in my chair and trusted me with their look. Some of those were first dates, job interviews, funerals. And I probably didn't even remember most of them. Has anyone else had a random milestone like that sneak up on them? Like a number that made you think about all the stories you've been part of without realizing it?
