Hit a 315 pound deadlift for the first time yesterday at 45 years old

I started lifting seriously two years ago after a back injury, never thought I'd get anywhere near that number. Yesterday at the gym I just went for it and it moved clean, no rounding, no pain. Did anyone else surprise themselves with a milestone way later in life than they expected?

Nice work man. I pulled 405 for the first time at 48 after a herniated disc in my lower back. That feeling when the bar leaves the floor and you know it's yours is just unreal. Age just gives you more reason to be smart about form and recovery. It's wild how much the body can still adapt when you treat it right. What are you chasing next?

My buddy Dave hit 455 at 50 after blowing out his knee and just about cried in the squat rack. Guess the old dogs still got some tricks left.
