6 months of sourcing from a single Chinese factory cut my defect rate from 12% to 3%
I was jumping between 5 different suppliers for plastic components. Switched to one shop in Yiwu after visiting their floor. Same QC checklist, same shipping lane, same contact person. The consistency alone saved me about $400 a month in returns. Anyone else see a big drop in defects after consolidating suppliers?

Oh man, that's such a SMART move. My buddy runs a small lighting company and he was ordering from like 4 different places for his fixtures. One batch would be fine, the next would have crooked wiring. He finally went with one factory in Shenzhen after a friend recommended them. His defect rate dropped from like 15% to maybe 2% in 3 months? He said he stopped getting random calls from customers about lights flickering on day one. That consistency thing is REAL.

Whoa wait... 12% down to 3%? That's a huge swing. I don't think people realize how much of a difference it makes when you're not juggling a whole bunch of different factories. It's like every supplier has their own little way of doing things and it messes with your whole process. Seeing that number drop like that makes me wonder what kind of headaches you were dealing with before. I bet your stress levels dropped just as much as those defects did.
