Tried the keto diet for 6 weeks and my cholesterol shot up 40 points
My doctor ran blood work after I bragged about losing 12 pounds and she was not happy. I thought I was being healthy eating all that bacon and cheese but my LDL went through the roof. Has anyone else had their numbers get worse on a high fat plan?

Started eating a bunch of avocados and nuts to lower my cholesterol and ended up gaining back half the weight I lost. My doctor said my LDL was fine but now my triglycerides look worse somehow. Whole thing made me realize there's really no shortcut with this stuff.

Man, wait wait wait, your triglycerides got worse from eating avocados and nuts? That's wild. I mean, I thought those were supposed to be like, the "good fats" that fix everything with your blood work. I'd be kinda shocked too if my doctor told me that after I was trying to do something healthy.
