Finally deadlifted 315 after 4 years of lifting, never thought I'd get there

I remember starting out barely pulling 135 and feeling like a total poser in the gym. Hit 315 yesterday for a single rep and honestly had to double check the plates. It's not a huge number to some people but for me it's the first time I actually felt strong. Anyone else have a random milestone that caught you off guard?

Here's the thing, I actually hit 315 on deadlift my third month lifting and didn't think much of it. 4 years just seems like a really long time for that milestone unless you're avoiding progressive overload or not eating enough. Most people I see in the gym get there within a year if they're actually consistent. Maybe you need to look at your programming because stalling that long usually points to something wrong, not just bad luck. Or maybe you just weren't pushing yourself hard enough those first few years. Did you actually follow a real program or just mess around?

Oh man, @dakota160 you're making me feel like I should've been benching 315 while barely trying too. But let's be real, some of us are built more like overcooked spaghetti than a powerlifting statue. I hit 315 on deadlift around month 10 or 11, but that was after gaining 15 pounds of mostly burrito weight and finding a program that didn't treat my spine like a question mark. What's your go-to warmup for deadlifts, or do you just walk up and pull?
