Can we talk about the cashier who just said 'I see you' and it hit different?
I was at the grocery store last Tuesday around 8pm in Toledo, just buying a frozen pizza and some soda after a long day. The cashier was this older lady, probably in her 60s, and she scanned everything without saying much. Then as she handed me my receipt, she looked me straight in the eye and said, 'I see you. You're doing better than you think.' I almost broke down right there at register 4. I didn't tell her anything about my day or my life, but she somehow knew I was struggling. It got me thinking about how often we overlook the people we interact with for 30 seconds. Has anyone else had a random stranger say something that felt like they knew exactly what you were going through?

I mean sometimes people just get it without you saying a word. That cashier probably saw a thousand tired faces before yours and knew the look. It's wild how a perfect stranger can say exactly what you needed to hear.

Some people just have that gift, no frills needed.
