PSA: Old phone numbers can be gold for finding lost friends
I was cleaning out my spare bedroom last weekend and found an old address book from 2015. Out of curiosity I tried texting a number for a friend I lost touch with after a move. The person who answered was super helpful and actually gave me a tip on how to find her on Facebook. Turns out phone carriers recycle numbers after about 6 months of inactivity. So if you have an old number for someone you're looking for, try it even if years have passed. The new owner might know something or at least point you in the right direction. Has anyone else had luck going back to super old phone numbers?

Wow, that's actually a pretty solid tip. I've noticed this pattern with a lot of things people throw away or forget about. Like, old email accounts that get shut down, or even old social media profiles that just sit there for years. The person who gets them next might not have the info you need, but you never know until you try. It's kind of like how libraries will sell old books or how thrift stores get random stuff from people's pasts. You just have to put in a little effort to look.

Stellac97, Respectfully, that sounds like a STALKER playbook and I'd block the number.
