Warning: I just lost $80 on a digital brush pack that looked amazing in the previews.

The brushes were way too big and lagged my tablet to the point of being useless. Has anyone found a good way to test brushes before buying?

Wait, do most stores not have a trial version? I mean, I've always been able to download a sample brush or two for free first.

They charged you eighty dollars for a brush pack? That's insane... I've never seen them go for more than thirty.

Hold up, are we really acting like paying thirty bucks versus eighty for brushes is some life changing difference? I get being annoyed if you got ripped off but blaming the whole store for it feels a little dramatic. Most people who are serious about digital art just stick with the free default sets that come with their program and call it a day. If you're spending that much on brushes you're either a pro who knows exactly what they need or you're just getting caught up in hype. Is it really that deep?
