Spent 6 hours on a single character's shading layer in Krita and accidentally made the lighting look 3D

I was just messing with the soft light blend mode on a whim after watching a 10 minute tutorial, and now the whole piece has this depth I never got from flat shading, anyone else find random settings that just click out of nowhere?

Wait is this that thing where you accidentally stumble into the exact right settings and now you're scared to touch anything in case you lose it? I spent like three hours once trying to recreate a brush preset I accidentally made and couldn't figure out what I actually clicked. Soft light blend mode is wild though, it's like the secret cheat code nobody tells you about until you bump into it by accident and suddenly your art looks like it went to art school. Honestly sometimes the best stuff comes from just mashing buttons and hoping something sticks, at least that's how I explain it to my friends who don't get digital art at all.

Used to think soft light was overrated honestly, that it was just people being lazy with shading. Then I accidentally left it on a layer once and the whole piece just clicked in a way I couldn't have planned. Hard to argue with results when they show up like that.
