Pro tip: I had to pick between a 4K monitor and a proper drawing tablet for my new setup.
Went with the tablet after my buddy in Austin said 'you can't fix bad line work with more pixels', and he was totally right. Anyone else face a similar gear choice that changed their workflow?

My old studio headphones finally died, so I switched to a cheaper pair and put the extra cash into acoustic panels. The room sounds way better now.

Remember buying expensive monitors before treating my room, felt like throwing money into a void. The echo made everything sound harsh no matter the gear. Your move with the panels was definitely the smarter play first.
