Just had a delivery truck get stuck in my client's driveway in Royal Oak

It happened yesterday morning when a big box truck tried to drop off roofing materials. The driver misjudged the turn and got the rear wheels completely off the pavement, sinking into the soft mud. We had to call a tow truck from Ferndale, which cost the delivery company $300 to pull it out. Has anyone else had a delivery go this sideways at a job site around here?

My neighbor in Clawson had a dumpster delivery crack their driveway apron last fall. The company's insurance actually covered a full concrete replacement.

Oh man, does a delivery guy backing over my own mailbox count? It was my own house, so the only thing that got towed was my dignity.

Only thing that got towed was my dignity" is a MOOD. Been there. Honestly, check if your home insurance has any kind of property damage coverage, sometimes it applies even for stuff you do yourself. Like @wren217 said with the driveway, a lot of times the delivery company's insurance is the way to go, but if it was their employee in your truck, that gets messy. Might just be a lesson learned, but a call to your agent never hurts.
