A guy at the Eastern Market wholesale lot told me my truck was too clean to be making real money, and he was right.
After he pointed at my spotless bed and said 'no scratches means no work', I started taking on more local hauling jobs from small shops in Hamtramck and my weekly gross went up by about $300 in a month.

Wire brush and rust converter saved my old truck.

Did you start with a light coat of rust converter or just let it develop naturally? I found that hitting the bed corners with a wire brush and a cheap rust paint actually got me more looks from the shop owners around here. It's like they trust the truck more when it's got some character on the body.
