Appreciation post for the old-timer who showed me how to actually sharpen my own chisels
I spent 2 years buying new chisels every time they got dull because I thought sharpening was too hard and took too long. Last month my neighbor Dave spent 20 minutes showing me his method with a cheap stone and now my chisels cut better than when they were new. Why do so many people act like you need expensive gear to do basic things right?
