My mechanic cousin told me to just use a breaker bar instead of an impact gun for lug nuts

He was right, saved me $300 on a tool I didn't need and my tires come off fine every time now. Has anyone else found a simpler tool that does the same job as the expensive version?

My buddy tried the cheap socket set from the auto parts store and it snapped right off on his first try.

Aw man, come on, are we really acting like one busted socket means the whole set is garbage? I've dropped cheap tools on concrete, cranked on rusty bolts, and yeah sometimes they break but it's usually an exception not the rule. Maybe your buddy just caught a bad one, happens to any brand no matter what you spend.
