I finally had my $300 espresso machine die on me at 6:30 AM Tuesday - do you fix or replace when the repair costs more than half?

Tried fixing my old Breville once. Wound up buying a new one a week later anyway.

Oh, I feel your pain... my $250 machine gave up right as I was trying to steam milk for my morning oat latte. I spent a whole Sunday taking it apart with a YouTube video, found a busted seal, and ordered the part for $40... but then the little plastic clip holding everything together snapped when I put it back. So I just bought a new one and told myself the old one was a "learning experience"...
