Found out my office microwave has a hidden 30-second button after 2 years

I was standing in the break room yesterday, jamming the number 1 for 30 seconds like a caveman, and my coworker Jenny just reached over and pressed a button I never even noticed. It's this tiny little pad icon that quick-starts for half a minute. Two full years of pressing 3 and 0 every single day for my leftover pasta. Has anyone else found a stupidly simple feature on something you use daily that made you feel like an idiot?

Yeah, that "proper shutdown menu" thing @ross.sean mentioned hit me different... I was unplugging my work laptop from the dock every night for a year because I thought that's how you turned it off. Meanwhile my coworker just clicks through three menus like it's nothing. We're all just out here doing things the hard way I guess.

Started pressing the power button on my monitor to turn it off for like six months before I realized the computer itself has a proper shutdown menu. The monitor button just puts it to sleep, it never actually turned anything off. Felt real dumb when a tech guy at work showed me the start menu trick during a meeting. Now I just click the Windows icon and hit shutdown like a normal human being.
