The time a rep thought my missing package was a pet squirrel
I ordered a book online that never showed up, so I called the store's customer service line. The guy who answered listened to my problem and then asked if I had any wild animals around my house. He straight up said, 'Do you own a pet squirrel that might have taken it?' I was so thrown off, I had to ask him to repeat himself. He kept going on about squirrels and raccoons being known package thieves in some areas. We spent way too long talking about imaginary animal crimes instead of just checking the tracking number. Finally, he looked it up and saw the book was stuck at a warehouse across the state. I hung up laughing but also totally puzzled by where that squirrel idea came from.

Squirrels might nab your snacks from a picnic, but a full book package is way beyond their usual crimes. That rep has some wild ideas about animal behavior, maybe from reading too many silly stories. Animals do mess with stuff, but they're not organizing heists for online orders. It's classic customer service to jump to the weird answer before checking the simple stuff. Your laughing hang-up was the only right response to that squirrel talk.

My cousin's parrot hid her phone charger for a week.

Wait, the parrot hid it for a whole week? That's wild, @quinn582. Birds are way too smart for their own good sometimes. I can't get over the fact it knew exactly what it was doing, stashing that charger somewhere. Your cousin must have been going crazy looking for it. Animals pulling these long term pranks is honestly kind of scary.
