That return desk clerk gave me bad advice 3 months ago
Guy at the Home Depot return desk told me I could return my opened paint sprayer no problem after 90 days. I waited until day 85 and they refused it because the policy changed to 30 days last year. Has anyone else gotten burned by bad info from a store employee?

Home Depot's return policy has been a moving target for years and the employees barely get trained on the changes. I had a similar thing happen with a bundle of lumber where the guy said 90 days but it was actually 45 for lumber. Always check the receipt or the website yourself before you wait that long.
