That Comcast guy at 1427 Maple Street last Tuesday really tested my patience

I scheduled a 2pm window for a technician to fix my internet, and the guy shows up at 4:30 with no call. He spent 45 minutes poking at the modem, then told me I need a whole new line run for $150 extra. Has anyone else had a tech just guess at the problem instead of actually checking the line into the house?

That Comcast guy at my place last month spent two hours on his phone before telling me I needed a new modem I already had.
