PSA: Never call a customer service line after 4 PM on a Friday

I learned this the hard way last month when my internet went out at 4:30 PM. Called Spectrum and got someone who clearly wanted to be anywhere else. She kept sighing, put me on hold for 12 minutes, then accidentally hung up on me. Called back and got the same lady. She said she remembered me and then put me on hold again for 8 minutes. After 45 minutes total, she said my issue was fixed. It was not fixed. Anyone else notice customer service quality drops off a cliff after 3 PM on Fridays?

Set your reminders to call early morning instead. I swear by Tuesday at 10 AM for the best luck getting someone competent on the line. Friday afternoon reps have already checked out mentally, so you're just wasting your time (and breath) after 2 PM.

Actually, I think Tuesday mornings are one of the worst times to call because that's when everyone else is flooding the lines too. The reps are usually slammed with back to back calls from people with the same idea, so you end up waiting forever just to talk to someone. Try Wednesday around 10 AM instead, it's way less busy and the ones you get are still fresh from their day off.
