My $300 'nonstick' pan set turned into a sticky nightmare after 2 weeks

Bought a fancy ceramic pan set from a big box store. Thought it would be amazing. By day 3, eggs were sticking like crazy. Called customer service. They said I was using 'too high heat' even though I kept it on medium. Asked for a refund. They said no because I 'damaged the coating' by using metal utensils. I only used silicone spatulas. They didn't care. Told me to file a warranty claim online but the website just loops back to the homepage. Wasted 4 hours on the phone total. Has anyone else had these companies blame you for their bad product?

It's just the new way of doing business... everything's built to break and the customer's always wrong when they call.

My toaster has a "smart" feature that refuses to toast bread unless it connects to wifi first. Like, I'm pretty sure burning bread was something we figured out 100 years ago without needing a login screen. Last week I had a coffee maker stop working because it "couldn't verify the subscription status of the water reservoir." I'm just trying to get caffeine into my face before 7am, not troubleshoot a financial services platform. At this point I'm half expecting my front door to demand a monthly fee before letting me back into my own house.
