I was reading an article about how long people wait on hold now

It said the average wait time for a customer service call has gone up to 12 minutes, which is double what it was a decade ago. I found that stat in a report from a consumer advocacy group, and it really hit home after my own recent 45-minute ordeal with my internet provider. Has anyone else noticed the hold times getting way worse?

That 45-minute wait is brutal. Do you think companies are just cutting back on staff to save money, or is there more to it? The problem seems to be getting worse across the board.

Honestly, calling them out on social media got me a real person fast last time! They hate the bad press.
