I finally got a refund from that phone company after 6 months of fighting
Back in January I signed up for this regional carrier in Portland because they had a decent deal, but my service dropped calls constantly for the first 3 weeks. I called their support line like 8 times and each person gave me a different excuse, one even said it was my phone's fault even though I just bought it from them. After I filed a complaint with the BBB and sent them screenshots of my dropped call log, some manager finally called me last Tuesday and approved the full refund of $240. It took exactly 6 months from when I started the process to when the check showed up in my mailbox yesterday. The craziest part was that the manager admitted their tower near my apartment had a known issue the whole time but frontline reps weren't allowed to say that. Has anyone else had to go the BBB route just to get a telecom company to honor their guarantee?

Wait, they knowingly kept selling you a broken service and told reps to hide a known tower problem? That's just straight up deceptive and I can't believe they thought that was okay. How long did it take the BBB to actually get them to respond after you filed?

Yep, about 3 weeks. You gotta document EVERY call and keep pushing.
