Found out my cable company charges $15 just to have a human look at the bill

So last week I was on hold with Comcast for 47 minutes trying to fix an overcharge on my internet bill. After they finally picked up, the rep kept saying my package was correct and I must be confused. I hung up and did some digging on the FCC's website, and apparently cable companies made over $6 billion in junk fees last year alone. $6 billion! That number just blew my mind. I started looking at my own bill and realized they tacked on a $15 'customer service fee' just for calling in. No wonder they don't care about helping you. Has anyone else actually gotten a bill corrected without having to threaten to cancel?

Got a buddy who spent two hours on the phone with Spectrum last month over a $10 fee. They finally agreed to remove it and then slapped a $12 "account maintenance" charge on his next bill instead.

Spectrum literally bank on folks giving up after an hour of that runaround.
