Appreciation post: That one agent who actually listened at 3am

Honestly I called my internet provider's support line at 3am last Tuesday because my service dropped during a work deadline. I expected the usual scripted nonsense but a guy named Marcus in Phoenix picked up and actually walked me through resetting the modem step by step. He even stayed on the line for 15 minutes to make sure the speed came back. Ngl it reminded me that good customer service still exists somewhere. Has anyone else had a random hero rep turn a nightmare around?

Did you get his name tag info or anything? I had a cable guy named Miguel show up at 2pm on a Sunday once and he stayed an extra hour just to run a new line through my basement. It's wild how one person can totally flip your mood from furious to grateful.

Miguel was the guy's name on the tag. I wrote it down on the back of my hand. But here's the thing - he showed up at 3pm on a Saturday, not Sunday. Just a small detail. He rewired my whole entertainment center wall. Said the old work was a fire hazard. Took him an hour and a half easy. Didn't charge extra or nothing.
