Appreciation post: I chose the phone support line over the online chat for a refund.

I spent $129 on a jacket that arrived damaged, and the chat agent kept pasting the same return policy link for 20 minutes. The phone rep actually listened, processed a full refund in 5 minutes, and apologized. Has anyone else had a company where the phone team is way better than their online help?

I had the exact opposite thing happen with my internet company last month. The chat guy fixed my billing issue in two minutes, but the phone line put me on hold for 45 minutes before disconnecting. It's not a rule that one is always better, you just got lucky this time. Some companies train their chat teams to be useless on purpose to save money.

Oh man, I feel that! I get so stubborn with the chat bots that I waste an hour before I finally give up and call. The phone people are always so much nicer.
