Vent: A color correction that ate up my whole Saturday

This client came in with a messed up DIY dye job, and stripping it took three separate rounds. Each round had to sit for exactly 15 minutes to avoid frying her hair. I was mixing toner like crazy to get the right shade, and my legs were numb from standing, lmao. But she walked out happy, so it was worth the wait.

Honestly depends on the client and the original quote. Some stylists build in a buffer for tricky color, others charge by the hour after a certain point. It's a tough call because you don't want to surprise someone with a huge bill, but your time has value. Clear communication up front is the only way to avoid hard feelings later.
