TIL a quick-dry topcoat trick that saved my Saturday appointments
I used to swear by waiting a full 10 minutes between gel polish coats. Thought rushing it would ruin the finish. Then a client who does competition nails showed me how wiping the tacky layer with alcohol before sealing helps the topcoat dry way faster. I tried it on a busy Saturday with 4 back-to-back sets in Tacoma. Cut my cure time by almost half and got zero smudges. Any other short cuts that actually hold up for a 9-hour day?

Oh man, that's a solid tip! I do something kind of similar but in reverse - I actually apply a thin layer of nail dehydrator over the color coat before my topcoat. It sounds weird but it removes any oily residue and makes the topcoat grab better. I've been doing it for months and my nails last way longer without chipping. Not sure if it'd work for gels since they're different chemically but for regular polish it's been a game changer for me.

Never thought of that @adam_butler38, I used to think dehydrators were just for prep but you changed my mind.
