Stopped fighting that $15 ion brush and now it's my go-to
I was super skeptical about this cheap ion smoothing brush I grabbed at Sally's last month for like 15 bucks. I've been doing hair for almost 6 years in Austin and always thought those brushes were gimmicks. But I tried it on a client with frizzy curls who needed a quick blowout, and honestly it cut my drying time by like 10 minutes. Has anyone else had a random cheap tool actually work better than the expensive stuff?

$15 brushes are fine if you just need a quick fix but I wouldn't call it a game changer or anything. I've burned through a few cheap ion brushes before they stopped working or the bristles got all bent out of shape.

Nah, you got lucky. Cheap brushes usually fall apart after a few weeks or just don't get hot enough to actually smooth anything down.
