PSA: The shift to digital client intake forms is driving me nuts...
One side says it streamlines the process and cuts down on paper, but the other argues it misses the nuance you get from a real conversation. I keep having clients show up with hair nothing like their online description. Where do you all stand on this?

Isn't this just another sign that we're trusting boxes on a screen too much? That story from @jakeperry hits home - a form will NEVER get the whole picture. I see this everywhere now, like when you book a doctor visit or order food online. The small details get lost because no one can type out every little thing. We trade understanding for speed, and it costs us REAL connection. Maybe the answer isn't better forms, but remembering that some things need a talk.

That @jakeperry story is exactly the problem... it's not just length but texture, density, even how they wear it day-to-day. Do you think there's a way to fix the forms themselves, like adding mandatory photo uploads or better questions, or does any box-ticking exercise just miss the point of a real chat?

My buddy who cuts hair had a client put 'shoulder length' on their form. The person showed up with hair past their waist because the form had no place to talk it through. He said he lost an hour just getting on the same page.
