My client's wedding updo fell apart 20 minutes before photos

Last month I had a bride in Denver whose updo just collapsed while she was getting into the limo. I had used extra pins and a ton of hairspray, but the weight of her extensions was too much for the style. Turns out I never checked the attachment points on the extensions, and two of the wefts had slipped loose during the day. Now I always do a quick tug test on any client's extensions before I start pinning, no matter how rushed I am. Has anyone else had a disaster with extensions ruining a style right at the worst moment?

Tug test? Man, that's the kind of lesson the universe hands you at the WORST possible second. I swear extensions wait for the limo door to open and then just yeet themselves off the scalp like it's a hobby. Bet that bride's face was something for the photographer to capture, right before the meltdown. At least now you get to be the hero with the "I check EVERYTHING" story. Can't wait to hear about the next client whose hair tries to pull a Houdini on you.
