My balayage faded patchy after 3 weeks, any toner tricks?

Got a balayage done back in March at a place near Cincinnati, looked great the first week. By week three the midshafts turned a weird brassy yellow while my ends stayed ashy, super uneven. My stylist said I might have hard water from my apartment's old pipes, and she recommended a purple shampoo soak but it's not doing much yet. Has anyone dealt with this kind of front-to-back fade pattern, and did a certain toner or glaze fix it for you?

Ugh, hard water and balayage are a match made in hell, I swear! My ends stayed cool while my roots turned straight-up Cheeto orange once, so I feel your pain. Try a clear gloss instead of another purple shampoo soak, it evens out the base color way better than fighting the brass head-on.
