Just counted 27 different shades of blonde in my formula book from this year alone
I didn't realize how much custom mixing I was doing until I flipped through my notes. Has anyone else hit a weirdly specific number that made you stop and think?

Formula book" is the part that got me, we always called them formula logs or just our color notes. Maybe it's a regional thing. Twenty-seven is a wild number though, it makes sense when you see it all written down like that. I hit forty-two custom red formulas one year and it felt like I was just making up names at that point.

Forty-two reds is a whole new level. I got to the point where I was naming them after my exes, and "Mike's New Truck" was a surprisingly popular burgundy.

Started naming my tools after bartenders I've known.
