Client with a fresh perm walked into my chair last week
It was a Tuesday afternoon and she said she washed her hair 24 hours after the perm because it felt 'greasy.' Now her curls are completely fried and broken off around her hairline. How do you guys handle clients who dont follow aftercare instructions without sounding rude?

Yo hold up, are we acting like a bad perm is the end of the world here? I mean yeah it sucks she didnt listen but its hair, it grows back. People act like every bad haircut or chemical mishap is a tragedy but its really not that deep. Plus she probably just didn't know any better, most regular people dont obsess over salon rules like stylists do. Tbh half the time clients forget what you told them within like an hour anyway. Just tell her straight up next time to follow the instructions and move on with your day.
