Changed my whole mind about blow-dry bars after visiting one in Austin last week

I always thought blow-dry bars were kind of a rip-off, like why pay $40 for something you can do at home? But my friend dragged me to DryBar on South Congress and I watched them divide hair into 9 sections before even picking up a round brush. That precision made me realize I've been rushing through my own clients' blowouts for years. Now I'm thinking about taking a class on it, has anyone here switched from standard salon services to specializing in just blowouts?

Hold up, nine sections?! I knew they were methodical about it but that's a whole other level of obsession. Makes me feel like a caveman just haphazardly grabbing chunks of hair and hoping for the best, lol. Kinda makes you wonder how many other little techniques we're just glossing over in the rush of a regular appointment. I bet that class would pay for itself in no time, honestly.

Totally agree @wood.noah, I used to blow dry like a caveman too but those nine sections changed my game.
