Can we talk about the client who brought me a photo of a haircut from a 2004 teen drama and expected it to look the same on her box-dyed hair?

After she told me she had used a $5 box dye from CVS three days before, I spent 45 minutes explaining color theory and why the golden highlights in that old photo would turn into muddy orange on her current color, anyone else deal with this specific type of unrealistic expectation?

Used to roll my eyes at clients but after ruining my own hair with box dye once I totally get it now.

@bettyh84 Box dye is fine if you actually read the instructions and don't leave it on for an hour.
