Update: Our internal newsletter hit a 92% open rate this month
I've been tracking this metric for a year, and we've never broken 80% before. The jump came after we switched from a dense text format to a simple, three-bullet summary at the top of each edition. Has anyone else seen a big change from a small format tweak like that?

That three-bullet summary is genius, we saw the same huge jump when we stopped writing long intros!

Totally agree about ditching the long intros. My old ones were so bad, I think people clicked away just to escape the boring backstory. It's like @derek78 said, that jump is real. I had to learn the hard way that nobody cares about my process until they know what they're getting. Now I front-load the value with the main points, and it just works better. Feels awkward at first, but you can't argue with the results.

Oh man, I feel this so hard. I used to write these huge, rambling intros because I thought I had to set up this big context. Then I finally tried just cutting to the chase with a short list of the main takeaways, and it was like night and day. Seriously, seeing that engagement jump after making it shorter and sweeter felt like finding a cheat code for my content.
