Unpopular opinion: our PR agency's 'wait 48 hours before you respond' rule cost us a client in Denver
Our comms director told us back in March to sit on a nasty tweet for 48 hours before saying anything, swearing the story would die down on its own. By hour 12 it was on a local news blog in Denver and the client was calling me at 7am asking why our brand account was quiet. How do you all decide when to jump in fast versus let it ride, because I'm clearly not trusting the playbook anymore?
