My CEO asked for a 90 second video, I gave him 90 minutes of work

Honestly, our CEO wanted a quick thank you message for the annual all hands in Dallas. I scripted it, shot it on my iPhone, and edited it down to 90 seconds flat. Sent it to him for a final look, and he came back with 14 separate notes, mostly about his hairline and the lighting. Spent the next three hours reshuffling clips and color grading so he didn't look washed out. Has anyone else had a leader who completely misses the point of a simple comms deliverable?

Ugh, classic. Bosses will always find some way to turn a five minute task into a whole afternoon of ego management. His hairline isn't the message, but good luck telling him that.
