I blew $1,500 on a 'viral' internal comms platform that nobody used.

Our team bought into the hype for a new app that promised to boost engagement, but after three months, our analytics showed less than 10% of employees even logged in. We should have just improved our existing Slack channels instead. Has anyone else had a pricey flop with a new tool that sounded perfect on paper?

Ah yes, the classic "sounds perfect on paper" trap, where perfect on paper usually means "flawed in real life." I bet that $1,500 bought you a nice dashboard showing nobody logged in, though.

You're spot on about the "flawed in real life" part. I used to defend those perfect-on-paper setups but after seeing one crash and burn firsthand, I get it now.
