Had a week where every internal email I sent got flagged by our own compliance bot
Our new automated compliance system decided to flag three of my internal memos last Tuesday for "policy violations," and they were just standard project updates about the Q2 rollout. Turned out the bot was hitting on common phrases like "confidential" and "guaranteed results" that are totally fine in context. Has anyone else dealt with an overzealous compliance filter that kills your productivity for half a week?

2.5 days last month because our bot flagged a meeting recap with the word "confidential" in the subject line. The compliance team told me the filter looks for any word that shows up in the top 20 flagged terms list from our HR handbook. So "confidential" is auto-flagged even if it's just a standard header on a template. We had to get our IT guy to whitelist a few internal templates that use those words in everyday ways.
