Saw a cool setup at the tool show in Detroit last month

They had a Haas VF-2 with a custom mist coolant system that ran at 40 psi instead of the usual 80. The guy running it said it cut his fluid use by half and kept the shop floor way cleaner. He showed me the simple regulator valve he added to the main line. I'm thinking of trying something similar on our older Fadal to see if it helps with the mess. Has anyone else tweaked their coolant pressure and seen good results?

That custom mist system sounds clever. I always wonder if half the coolant on any job is just hitting the floor instead of the tool. Maybe we're all running things too wet out of habit.

Wait, he cut the pressure in half and it still works?
