Just realized I was measuring tool offsets completely wrong for like a year

I used to always zero my tool length offset against the spindle face instead of the gauge line, then fought with Z-axis drift every setup. Fixed it after watching a Haas quick tip video last month, now my parts stack up tight first try. Anybody else make that same dumb mistake starting out?

Honestly laugh at yourself and move on, we've all been there. Took me six months to realize my Z offset was trash because I kept zeroing against the wrong reference point. Now I triple check every setup like a paranoid robot.

Wait, isn't the gauge line what everyone's supposed to use?
