Just blew $150 on a 'universal' collet that didn't fit my old Bridgeport

The supplier swore it was the right size, but it wobbled like crazy and ruined a part. Anyone know a good source for actual R8 collets that won't lie to you?

Ugh, that's the worst feeling. I've been burned by those "universal" claims before too. In my experience, you're way better off sticking with brands that only make stuff for real machine tools, like Hardinge or Lyndex. Their R8 collets cost more but they actually fit right every single time.
