Hot take: I stopped deburring right after cutting and my tool life went up
I used to hit the belt sander the second a part came off the mill, but a guy at the Tulsa shop I worked at for 2 years told me to let the part cool first. My end mills lasted about 40% longer after I made that switch, which sounds fake but I tracked it on the same 6061 job. Anyone else notice heat soaking the part before deburring actually helps, or am I just lucky on this one?
