Went to pick up a free set of wheels from a guy on Facebook Marketplace and his garage had 4 identical Honda Civics all with blown head gaskets, what is that about?

I actually asked him why he kept buying the same car and he said they were all from different salvage auctions and he just likes the challenge of swapping motors, but then he tried to sell me a 1999 hatchback with a misfire for $1,200 so has anyone else run into these hoarder types who refuse to let go of a platform?
