That guy at the junkyard who saved me $400 with one sentence

I was pulling a trans from a 2002 Camry at Pull-A-Part in Phoenix and this old timer walks by, sees what I'm doing, and says 'that's the one with the bad torque converter clutch, check the fluid for glitter before you buy it.' His one line stopped me from grabbing a doomed part, so I skipped it and found a clean one from a yard in Mesa for $150. Anyone else have a random stranger kill a bad deal before you wasted your cash?
