My first beater was a $700 Corolla I bought in 2015 and I miss how simple fixing cars used to be
Bought that thing off a guy in Fresno for $700 and it ran for 3 years with nothing but oil changes and one alternator. Last month I helped my nephew look for his first car and everything under $3,000 on Marketplace had 250k miles or a salvage title. Back in 2015 you could still find a decent 90s Honda for $1,200 if you checked Craigslist daily and brought a jack. Now people want $4,500 for the same car with a rebuilt title and a check engine light. Anyone else notice the cheap car market just fell off a cliff since covid?
