Crossed the 10k mile mark on a $900 Subaru I patched with zip ties
I bought this 2002 Outback last spring for 900 bucks with a leaking radiator and a clunking front end, patched it with a used radiator from a junkyard in Tulsa and some zip ties on the bumper, and just rolled past 10,000 miles without a single breakdown. That's more than I paid per mile for any car I've owned, and it's got 220k on the clock now. Anyone else hit a mileage milestone on a beater that made you question why you ever bought newer cars?
