Two lenses came back with the same squeal after a CLA. Learned my lesson on the bench.

Ran a CLA on a pair of 28mm primes last week. Both had the same grinding squeal when focusing. Took them apart, cleaned everything, new grease. Put them back together and they still did it. Turns out the helicoid threads were worn uneven on both. Same owner, same camera bag, both rode loose in a gear pouch for years. Grease cant fix metal that ground itself down. Anyone else seen this pattern where one owner's habits cause identical wear on multiple lenses?
